Don't Try This at Home

Sorry about all of the videos lately. We recently downloaded them from our memory card to the computer. I put Logan on my lap the other day, and we must've sat at the computer for 20 minutes just watching his videos. (I think that might be the longest that he's ever sat still.) He loved it. One video would end, and he would point to the mouse for me to click on another. So fun! Anyway, I realized that we can't post videos without posting this one.

One of Logan's favorite things at gma and gpa Peterson's was the treadmill. Garrick had the great idea of letting Logan "ride" the treadmill. He loved it! He would ride, get off, give the "more" sign with his hands, flash us a huge grin, and we'd put him back on for another ride. It was all fun and games until...we had a little accident. Luckily it was just little. Logan's finger somehow got caught in the treadmill, and he ended up with two pretty yucky treadmill burns on one finger. So, as much fun as this appears to be, you might think twice before trying it at home.

Future Concert Pianist

This is just the second time that Logan has sat down at the piano on his own and provided us with a little concert. :)

You Can't Catch Me

Logan's all-time FAVORITE thing to do is play chase. He LOVES it!!! Here's a little clip of Garrick and Logan playing chase.

What a Swing!

Logan has been swinging a bat (with help) for months now, but we were still shocked by how well he did on his own just the other day. Here he is:

Ridin' the Vacuum

Who knew that "riding" the vacuum could be so much fun?

His First Taste of Snow

We had a winter storm hit this week. I went through the tub of hand-me-downs and pulled out a pair of little boy's boots (only 1 size too big, not bad). Logan was very excited to wear them. He went to take his first step and instead had a nice fall. It didn't take him too long, though. After a minute or so, he was wearing those boots proudly! I grabbed Logan's coat and hat, and he was ready to check out the snow.

He walked right into the snow and faceplanted! He didn't cry, though (not yet anyway). He was still checking it out.

We stayed outside for just a minute or two and then came inside to warm up. Logan decided to see how the snow tasted, and I think he liked it!

Not Just Your Ordinary Storm

It was the first night we spent at my parent's house, the Saturday before Thanksgiving. A storm passed through. It was a typical Oregon storm (rain, rain, and more rain), that is, until we heard a loud thud above us and awoke to find this:

A major branch of one of the 2 trees in the front yard broke and fell onto and through the roof. Luckily the "through" part happened in the covered porch area, and we were able to stay dry inside the house. Whew! That was scary!
