We recently returned from a great trip to San Antonio. Thank you, Garrick, for landing a little job giving a presentation so that we could go along for the ride. What a neat city! Did you know that it's the 7th most populated city in the U.S.? You never would have guessed from how easily we were able to get around (traffic-wise). We were lucky to have mom join us for our little stay. Logan was a great sport as we dragged him from thing to thing and didn't always accomodate his nap schedule like we would at home. In fact, I think we really wore him out. He fell asleep on both legs of our flight home. If you know Logan very well, you'll know how shocking that is. In fact, I think it was the first time that he's fallen asleep on Garrick since he was just a wee lad.
Here's a quick rundown of the highlights of our trip...
...the Riverwalk - a gorgeous walking path through the downtown area, right along the river. It's hard to capture with photos, especially at night, but you can at least see a little bit.

...the Riverwalk boat tour - taught us a little more about SA history
Sorry, no pictures of this.
...the Alamo - Who would've guessed it's right in the middle of downtown?

...the SA missions - great history and Logan loved running around

...the Tower of the Americas and the Charthouse Restaurant - great view, moving floor, excellent food

p.s. Those holes in the bottom of Logan's mouth now have little white teeth poking through. When they're in, he'll have all of his teeth except his wisdom teeth. Crazy!
...Texas bbq and pecan cobbler (so yummy!)

...el mercado - fun shops and great musicians

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you guys had a great time! I loved the river walk - what a beautiful place.
Deyce, we are looking at Texas for possible jobs next year... specifically the Austin or San Antonio area! I don't know if you knew but I was born in Texas and we had a cabin in the mtns outside of San Antonion. I'm hoping that it works out! Loved the photos, I can't wait to show John later to get him excited about the area too!
